Halloween isn’t just about ghosts, monsters and candy. It is the one night you can pretend to be whoever you want to be without judgment. Year after year, we usually see the same costumes. But the best costumes are when you can do it with someone else and make a duo costume. These are done all the time, but never get old.
Spartan Cheerleaders
The Saturday Night Live Spartan Cheerleaders will go down in history as one of the best character duos on the show. So I love the idea of these guys as a costume. There are a lot of places that have the Spartan uniform or you can be crafty and make your own. But you also need the right people. The best Will Ferrell would be a guy that is tall and has hair similar to him. A short girl with blondish hair would make the perfect Cherie Oteri. But if don’t look anything like Ferrell and Oteri, you can still pull this costume off with the right uniform and of course some killer cheerleading moves. This would be an awesome costume for significant others.
Napoleon Dynamite & Pedro
The movie Napoleon Dynamite was a huge hit when it came out in theaters over 10 years ago. And dressing up as Napoleon and his best friend Pedro is still awesome. If you are going as Pedro, you have to wear a mustache and use the right accent. Plus you will be able to find a wig and the clothes pretty easily. Napoleon is pretty easy because there are a lot of places that carry the right accessories. You can find a wig that works and also a Vote for Pedro shirt, moon boots and glasses. If two friends can do this and get in the characters, they can really pull off this hilarious duo.
Wayne & Garth
Wayne and Garth from Wayne’s World are probably the best Halloween costumes if done right. Men and women can do it and friends or significant others. Even if you don’t have blonde hair to be Garth, you can always find a blonde wig and the right clothes like a flannel shirt and torn up baggy jeans. Also, you can’t forget the Aerosmith shirt and glasses. Wayne needs to have black hair or a wig and the right clothes too. You will need to wear a black Wayne’s World hat, a plain black shirt and some jeans. You also have to get into the characters with these costumes. But this duo would definitely be the most fun to dress up as.
