Micky Ward Round 7 Knockout

Irish Micky Ward was immortalized in the 2010 David O Russel film The Fighter.  While the movie is an incredible character study watching the real life Micky Ward take a beating for seven rounds before landing a body shot knockout it absolutely stunning. This shows a true triumph of the human spirit as Ward was always considered the underdog in most of his fights. Mark Whalberg who played Ward in the film just recently confirmed that there will in fact be a sequel to the film that garnered Christian Bale an Academy Award.
