Mad Men made it’s triumphant return to AMC last night with a two hour premiere. The 4-time Emmy award winning series pulled no punches with the first episode of it’s penultimate season. Matthew Wiener even released a letter to journalists asking them not to reveal specific details about the season premiere. The one thing I will say is that the theme of this dynamite season opener is death. Perhaps this is fitting as we look towards the death of one of the greatest dramas of the past decade. The opener hints at many interesting sub-plots as we move into another decade with the ad execs on Madison Avenue.
