Back to the Future Part II Got Some Things Right

Back 2 Future

The sequel to Back to the Future, titled Back to the Future Part II (how original) was released back in 1989. In the movie, Marty and Doc enter the future on October 21st, 2015. Surprisingly, that date is coming up. Even though we don’t have flying cars in 2015, there are still some predictions that came true.

Obsessed with Technology

It is no secret that we all are obsessed with technology. From our Smartphones to our computers, we are always glued to some sort of technology. Back to the Future Part II guessed this would happen and showed it during a dinnertime scene, which really is a scary resemblance to dinner tables now days. We aren’t using headsets (yet) like they are in the film, but it isn’t much different than having a phone or computer screen in front of our face all the time. When was the last time you went to dinner and didn’t see a handful of people on their phone instead of interacting with other people?

Love for the 80s

I don’t know why, but the 1980s will not go away. Even in Back to the Future Part II, it shows that in 2015, everyone still loves the looks from the 80s. And I have seen it this year. Bright neon colors along with big hair is totally back in style. Don’t forget leggings and pop music along with jean jackets! The 1980s is everywhere, even in 2015.

Movie Sequels

Back to the Future Part II really nailed it when they predicted the number of sequels movies would have in 2015. There is a scene in the film where a sign for the movie Jaws 19 is in the background. This was the director’s way of making fun of friend Steven Spielberg. But he pretty much called it when it comes to out of hand sequels. I mean, we did just see Fast and Furious 7 come out and even terrible movies like Sharknado have multiple sequels.
