Netflix Shows to Catch Up on for 2022

Our home is our castle, and we want to keep it in the best shape possible. This might mean updating the living room with a new coat of paint, refurbishing the bedroom, installing updated appliances, repaving the driveway, or even having your roof worked on by professionals that can give you roofing insurance claim tips. These are all great renovations for your home, but the process of doing so can sometimes be noisy, distracting, and time-consuming, not to mention the high risk of error if you are not a trained professional. That’s why it’s a good rule of thumb to have qualified people working on your home. You’ll need to be home while most of these upgrades are being installed, so you’ll need something to keep you occupied and allow the professionals the space to do their job efficiently.

This is as good a time as ever to catch up on some of your favorite Netflix shows! Since you’ll be home anyway, you can zip through a season without much guilt of feeling unproductive. The streaming service has quite the extensive catalog, so the only real challenge will be deciding which shows to prioritize for upcoming seasons in 2022.

Stranger Things

We’re not in Hawkins anymore. After a long wait, the fourth season of the beloved series, Stranger Things, is finally coming to Netflix in 2022. For those unfamiliar with the show, if that’s possible, the premise is exactly what the name promises: strange things. Set in a small town in Indiana during the 1980s, there are missing people, monsters, supernatural abilities, conspiracies, and lots of 80s nostalgia. After a climactic season 3 finale–no spoilers–this next season looks to be opening a new chapter in the series and is perhaps the most anticipated season so far.

Ozark

Returning for its fourth and final season, Ozark stars Jason Bateman as Mary Byrde and his family as they move to the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. Marty and his wife have stumbled down the dark path of money laundering for the cartel. The pair must do what they can to keep the cartel happy and their family safe in order to survive. This dark drama was a giant hit for Netflix in previous seasons, and their final season will no doubt leave fans wishing for a fifth.

The Umbrella Academy

Based on graphic novels of the same name, The Umbrella Academy is set to premiere its third season this next year. This series follows a group of adopted siblings with fantastical powers, having grown up and gone their separate ways only to reunite upon their father’s death. Shenanigans ensue shortly after, culminating in a wacky adventure filled with time travel, superpowers, government agents, an apocalypse, and so much more. If you love superheroes, music covers, and some dark comedy, watch the first two seasons on Netflix and get ready for season three!

Ending Thoughts

What better way to feel cozy in your castle than by relaxing and watching some TV? These are only a few of the excellent shows to catch up on before the new year, with others like Peaky Blinders or Cobra Kai on many people’s radars as well. If you have the downtime and are anticipating the 2022 season releases, Netflix has plenty of series’ to keep you occupied.
